POSITION DESCRIPTION
This role combines on-site supervision of direct support staff and site operations, with providing direct support to individuals with diverse abilities in a home and community setting. Team Leads act as a liaison between direct support staff and the Supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing Support to Staff via training, coaching and feedback to ensure we provide the highest quality supports and care to those we support.
- Administrative responsibilities including documentation, management of finances, and ensuring compliance with company policies/procedures and licensing requirements.
- This position also includes coordinating health and safety of individuals through medical appointments, guardian engagement, and at-home medical care.
- Team Leads share their experience and knowledge to facilitate best practice principles are engaged by all staff.
- On call rotation
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education in Disability Services or another related field is preferred
- Valid Adult First Aid with CPR Level C is required
- Personal Vehicle, Valid Driver’s License, Clean Drivers Abstract and 2 Million Dollar Liability Insurance is required
- Clear Police Information Check is required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field is required
- Supervisory experience is preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required
- Computer skills are required
- Ability to manage conflict and build teamwork is essential for this role
- Experience with Autism, ADHD and behavioural management preferred
- Training in PBS and MANDT preferred
- Experience in supporting individuals with Autism
- Experience in program writing an asset
LOCATION; St. Albert
HOURS OF WORK Monday to Friday 8:30AM - 4:00PM (Hours are based on operational needs candidate needs to be flexible to support all shifts in the house).
