STAGE MANAGER
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Production Services, this position is responsible for the technical show calling for live events at TIFF Lightbox and Festival Venues
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Show calling all cues to the Technical team with live components attached to events
- Works closely with Technical team to inform of any changes to the run of show on the day of the event, including any delays to the start of the show
- Works closely with Front of House teams about timing to House Open and End of Show
- Communicates with Event Coordinator and Senior Manager, PS of any changes to the event that may affect billing during day of show
- The Stage Manager liaises with Events and Venue team on Talent, Speakers and Programmers to ensure they are backstage ready to take the stage when they are called upon
- Reviewing all event details before event day and asking any questions about the Run of Show
- Submitting Stage Manager reports and timesheets after each event to the Assistant Production Manager and Senior Manager, Production Services
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 3-5 years Stage Managing productions
- Excellent technical understanding of technical aspects
- Specific technical experience with large stages and theaters
- Strong managerial, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter who is highly organized and detail-oriented
- Attention to detail is a must; as they will be working on multiple events
- Proficiency in Google Suite, MS Office Suite, including Word and Excel
- Ability to work in a team environment and share information with many teams
- Outgoing personality as this role works with both internal and external clients
Pay: $25.00 per hour
