What You’ll Be Doing
You will be joining the Retail and Business Banking Learning & Talent Development Team. As a Translation Lead, you will manage relationships with and ensure the quality of translation performed by both internal and external translators; developing, managing and reporting on translation budget, coordinating and scheduling all translation activities. You’ll be at the heart of a team bringing innovative technology to life as part of CIBC’s digital transformation.
How You’ll Succeed
Quality Assurance and Process Improvement - You can analyze workflow issues and make recommendations to improve effectiveness and productivity. On an ongoing basis, you will review, make and document recommendations for continuous improvement to the translation and maintenance processes
Strong Leadership and Business Acumen – Act as the single point of contact for incoming translation-related activities and work requests from partners. You will also provide support, direction and mentorship to new team members. You will also manage the finances based on historical trends and training projects described in the team’s annual plan, forecast, price, prepare and then manage on an ongoing basis the annual Learning Solutions translation budget while also providing forecasting and tracking of translation spend.
Team Player and Partnering - Act as the single point of contact for incoming translation-related activities and work requests from partners while increasing awareness of CIBC translation processes and standards, the translation process and its implications to reduce challenges and misunderstandings. You will review project strategy and scoping documents, assess the translation impact of the design and development strategies, and make recommendations for alternate approaches that will reduce upfront and ongoing and associated translation costs.
Who You Are
You have a degree/diploma in French Translation or equivalent experience.
You can demonstrate experience in MS Office, verbal and written French translation, developed knowledge of practices, procedures and principles of Project Management including forecasting, including budget management and forecasting.
