Overview
We are seeking an Industrial Equipment Parts Technician for our Mississauga location. This position blends customer support, parts coordination, and practical technical problem-solving. You will help customers determine what they need, process requests accurately, communicate updates, and coordinate solutions with internal teams.
This position offers a CAD $55,000 annual base salary plus monthly commissions ranging from $0 to $2,500, for total annual compensation of CAD $55,000-$85,000.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer questions by phone and email regarding equipment, maintenance, repairs, and replacement parts.
- Review equipment information and technical resources to identify and confirm the appropriate components.
- Prepare and process parts orders while maintaining accurate customer and order records.
- Communicate availability, order progress, expected delivery timing, and issue resolution to customers.
- Coordinate with internal technical and operational teams to support accurate, timely service.
- Assist with initial troubleshooting and route complex technical matters to the appropriate resource.
- Occasionally visit customer locations to support equipment-related service needs.
- Provide customers with basic guidance related to equipment use and routine maintenance.
Experience
- Technical, trade-school, or college coursework in a relevant discipline.
- Experience in a business-to-business environment.
- Parts or service experience involving industrial equipment, automated machinery, or CNC equipment.
- Hands-on experience diagnosing or repairing mechanical or electro-mechanical equipment.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including functions, charts, or reports.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience in parts support, customer service, technical support, industrial equipment, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts.
- Strong troubleshooting, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and follow-through.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, and the ability to learn new systems.
- Fluency in English and willingness to travel occasionally.
