At A.P.E. Académie Sportive, we believe every extracurricular activity should be Much More Than a Program.We are a community-based academy dedicated to creating safe, inclusive, and meaningful extracurricular experiences for children across Laval and Montréal. Through sport, we help young people build confidence, teamwork, communication skills, and a lifelong love of physical activity.We're looking for passionate individuals who want to make a positive difference in the lives of children while becoming part of a supportive and growing team.
Position Overview
As an A.P.E. Coach, you'll lead engaging extracurricular programs in elementary schools before school, during lunch, and after school. Our coaches are more than instructors—they are positive role models who create an environment where every child feels welcomed, supported, and inspired to grow.
Programs You May Coach
Depending on your experience and interests, you may lead one or more of the following programs:
- Soccer
- Multi-Sport
- Basketball
- Volleyball
- Self-Defence / Martial Arts
- Recreational Games & Physical Literacy
Training and lesson plans are provided.
Responsibilities
- Lead safe, organized, and engaging extracurricular programs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment where every child feels they belong.
- Encourage teamwork, respect, confidence, and sportsmanship.
- Arrive prepared and ensure equipment is organized before each session.
- Follow A.P.E.'s safety and attendance procedures.
- Communicate professionally with school staff, parents, and fellow coaches.
- Represent A.P.E. with professionalism, kindness, and integrity.

Qualifications
Preferred (but not always required):
- Experience coaching or working with children.
- Experience in one or more sports (soccer, basketball, volleyball, martial arts, or similar).
- Background in education, recreation, kinesiology, physical education, childcare, or a related field is an asset.
- CPR/First Aid certification is considered an asset.
- Access to reliable transportation is an asset.

Pay: $40.00-$70.00 per hour
