Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Tile Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of tile surfaces in residential and commercial settings. This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently on diverse projects. Duties
- Measure and prepare surfaces for tile installation according to project specifications and blueprints
- Use hand tools such as trowels, cutters, and levels to lay tiles accurately and securely
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure proper placement and alignment
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or mortar
- Install various types of tiles including ceramic, porcelain, stone, or glass on floors, walls, or countertops
- Perform finishing tasks such as caulking edges and sealing grout lines for a clean appearance
- Maintain a safe work environment by following safety protocols and using appropriate personal protective equipment
- Collaborate with other construction professionals such as carpenters or general contractors to complete projects efficiently
Experience
- Proven experience in tile laying, flooring installation, or related construction work preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools used in tile installation and general carpentry skills
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Prior handyman experience is a plus
- Knowledge of caulking techniques and surface preparation methods is desirable
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on craftsmanship and quality workmanship
