We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Heavy Equipment Technician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks to prevent equipment failures.
- Use schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Carry out welding, mechanical assembly, electrical repairs, and other mechanical work using hand tools and power tools.
- Operate heavy equipment safely during testing procedures or when assisting with repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs for all equipment serviced.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during all repair activities.
Qualifications
- Heavy Equipment Technician Red Seal
- Proven dealership or industrial equipment repair experience with a strong mechanical background.
- Hands-on experience working with excavators, cranes, forklifts, Caterpillar machinery, or similar heavy equipment.
- Skilled in welding, electrical troubleshooting, assembly work, and reading schematics.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems related to industrial equipment is a plus.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Previous mechanic experience in automotive repair or similar fields is advantageous.
- Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
