Business Development Specialist Canada
Overview
RectorSeal, a leading manufacturer of chemical specialty sealants and related mechanical products designed for professional trades, is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Specialist to drive sales of the Shoemaker GRD and TRUaire GRD product lines in Canada.
The main responsibility will be successfully specifying Shoemaker and TRUaire grille, register, and diffuser product lines in accordance with the sales strategy. The ideal candidate will also successfully network with Engineers, Architects, Design-Build Contractors, and the Rectorseal Sales team in the specified region. This will be a remote opportunity requiring travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario when needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive the Canada division's GRD (Shoemaker & TRUaire) product lines
- Technical support and product expert for GRD product category
- Develop, execute, and oversee strategies together with Management and RSM’s to achieve set sales goals
- Assist in project quotes
- Support MASTER SPEC listing and similar programs to drive product specifications and BOD
- Maintain and build GRD markets through support, technical sales training, and overall GRD education
- TCAP and job quote support and analysis
- Engineering Calls to specify TRUaire and Shoemaker GRD’s
- Design Build Contractor engagement – Basis of Design is primary goal
- Explore and develop new product opportunities
- Present and train Engineers, Architects, Contractors, other sales team members on GRD products and applications
- Interface and maintain relationships with Reps, Contractors, Engineers on building sales and brand recognition
- Identify growth opportunities and market trends
Minimum Requirements:
- Four years plus experience in the HVAC Industry
- Willing to travel – up to 60% with overnight stays
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous sales & product support experience
Preferred Requirements:
- Mechanical Engineering degree preferred or similar technical background
- Experience specifying HVAC equipment
- Based in the Greater Toronto Metro Area

Compensation: RectorSeal has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The target salary range for this exempt opportunity is $72,000 - $85,000 CD plus annual bonus incentives.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the CSWI Board of Directors.
