Overview
We are seeking reliable and physically capable Moving Helpers to assist with loading, unloading, and organizing items during residential and commercial moves. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the ability to handle heavy lifting in a fast-paced environment.
This is flexible work — you choose the moving jobs you accept based on your availability. Ideal for individuals who want to control their own schedule, earn consistent income, and take pride in delivering a professional moving experience.
Prior experience in moving, warehouse distribution, or shipping & receiving is a strong asset.
What You'll Do
Load and unload furniture, boxes, and heavy items safely during residential and commercial moves
- Assist with packing, unpacking, and on-site organization as needed
- Help disassemble and reassemble basic furniture (beds, tables, shelving)
- Protect floors, walls, and doorways during transit using pads, blankets, and dollies
- Organize items inside trucks or storage units for safe transport and optimal space use
- Operate basic moving equipment safely — hand trucks, dollies, furniture sliders, straps
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the job
- Communicate clearly and professionally with the customer from arrival to completion
- Follow all safety standards and lifting protocols on every job
What We're Looking For
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a professional, customer-facing attitude
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 lbs or more, often repeatedly)
- Strong physical stamina — moves can run several hours and require stair work
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Smartphone with data (required to receive and manage job assignments)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a 2–3 person crew
Nice to Have
- Previous experience with a moving company, warehouse, or shipping & receiving role
- Experience packing fragile items (china, electronics, artwork)
- Furniture assembly experience
- Forklift or pallet jack certification (useful for commercial moves)
- Customer service background
