Overview
We are actively seeking a friendly, highly skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for patient care, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of dental hygiene practices.
As a key member of our practice, you will be responsible for providing preventive oral health services, educating patients on proper dental care, and supporting overall practice operations. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, OHI, Probing
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of preventive care to promote long-term oral health.
- Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in identifying oral health issues and communicate findings effectively to the dental team.
- Support the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental practice management software
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient questions, scheduling follow-up appointments, and ensuring a positive experience for all patients.
- Stay current with industry best practices, including knowledge of periodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
Requirements
- Valid CDHO licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing.
- Prior experience working in a dental office setting; familiarity with Maxident or similar practice management software is preferred.
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures.
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients of all ages while demonstrating professionalism and empathy.
- Understanding of dental terminology related to oral health is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and efficient workflow.

This position requires 2-3 Saturdays each month with 1-2 days including evenings during the week. We are closed Sunday and Monday.
