Job Purpose
The Junior Warehouse Workers main goal is to ensure the accurate and seamless processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. Other responsibilities will include the inspection of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify contents and quality. The Junior Warehouse Workers main duties involve supporting the warehouse team members, while developing the skills and knowledge needed to grow within the warehouse department.
Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
Maintain a clean, organized work and traffic area according to safety policies and
procedures
Prepares and completes store orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials of warehouse stock; packaging boxes; placing orders in the delivery area
Handle inventory of shipping materials and supplies with care and safety
Report discrepancies right away to immediate supervisor
Perform any other general warehouse duties as assigned
Adhere to and follow all Health & Safety policies and regulations
Other warehouse operations such as hair, care, GM work cooperation, field work support.

Receiving/Shipping
Match incoming and outgoing product with purchase orders
Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required
Prepare receiving dock to accept incoming product clear of any obstruction
Sort and distribute incoming shipments
Prepare products efficiently for shipping in a timely manner
Inventory Management
Manage inventory through controlling levels stocked, overseeing all orders and proper merchandise planning
Ensure inventory is maintained and organized based on company standards

Key Relationships
This person reports to the Warehouse Manager

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Variety of standing and walking throughout the day; repeated twisting of the torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves
Regular lifting of 20 lbs or more, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs or heavier
Occasional climbing of ladders
May require ability to operate material handling equipment including pump truck
Manual dexterity (quick with the hands)
Constant communication with coworkers and Warehouse Supervisor/Manager
Qualifications
No experience required (experience in retail or warehouse is preferred)
Post secondary education is preferred
Some operation experience in receiving, stock and inventory
