Staffmax Staffing & Recruiting is currently hiring on behalf of our client for a reliable and professional Class 1 Tractor Driver. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate.

Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
Schedule - Mon - Friday (8:00 am to 4:30 pm)
- Safely operate a Class 1 semi tractor-trailer with manual transmission
- Load, secure, transport, and deliver freight safely and efficiently
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues
- Ensure accurate completion of all delivery and load-related paperwork
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customer service, and clients
- Use mobile applications and company technology for tracking and reporting
- Take and upload photos for delivery verification
- Maintain cleanliness and professional condition of assigned truck and trailer
- Provide excellent customer service while representing the client professionally
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence
- Experience operating manual transmission tractor-trailers
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement and transportation safety procedures
- Comfortable using smartphones and app-based systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Clean driver’s abstract (fewer than 3 violations preferred)
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
- Defensive Driving Training
- Cargo Securement Training
- Experience with curtain-side trailers is an asset
- $22.00 per hour competitive pay
- Monday to Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
