Position: Psychologist (2 positions)

Reports to: Manager, Administrative Services
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: $52.72 - $65.90 per hour
Status: Temporary full-time

POSITION:
In the provision of patient and non-patient care activities, the principal responsibilities of the Psychologist include: psychodiagnostic assessment, assessing cases for the purpose of evaluating the need for service, the nature of the problem, resulting in the formation of recommendations or a treatment plan; implementing an intervention plan with patients, family members and significant others for the purpose of facilitating changes in behaviour, attitudes, feelings and/or environment; reassessing and modifying the intervention plan, as required; working with members of the multi-disciplinary team and community agencies to obtain, provide or exchange information relating to patients´ psycho-social functioning and health care in the past, present and future; serving as a resource to other allied health team members in the provision of evidence-based psychotherapies including providing consultation, and preparing and delivering clinical presentations/trainings for staff; participating in program and intervention development activities such as psychotherapy manual writing; leading quality improvement initiatives; rendering services for the immediate benefit of the Hospital and the community; performing activities required for the effective and efficient operation/maintenance of the program; performing other duties consistent with the job classification, as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of a recognized Ph.D. degree program in Psychology
Strong assessment skills are required
Experience working with patients with Eating Disorders an asset
Experience with CBT for eating disorders, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, PTSD or OCD a strong asset
Experience with motivational enhancement therapy an asset
Experience working in a hospital environment an asset
Student education/supervision experience an asset
Eligible for Certification by the College of Psychologists of Ontario or comparable professional organization for other discipline
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work effectively independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
