Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking applicants for a Maintenance 3- Non-Journeyman position.
The primary location for this position is: Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital
The duration of this temporary contract would be approximately until December 2026, or sooner as determined by RRHS
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Finance, the Maintenance Class 3 will be responsible to perform all aspects of hospital maintenance which includes repairs and renovations, painting, equipment and furniture move and general maintenance. All duties will be carried out in accordance with all provincial, municipal codes and departmental and hospital policies. There will be on-call duties required. The incumbent will be expected to participate in meetings, workshops, training and others duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:

Move equipment and furniture as required.

Interior and exterior building and equipment refinishing, i.e. painting, wallpapering, wall repair and renovation, tile repair.

Provide assistance to fellow workers as requested.

Perform general maintenance as assigned.

Perform preventive maintenance as assigned.

Maintain equipment records.

Clean mechanical rooms and work areas as per work schedule.

Accomplish all work while complying with hospital policies and procedures.

Maintain level of competence required in all aspects of the position description.

Continually evaluate equipment and processes used and recommend changes which may effect an improvement of performance.

Participate in On Call/Call In Rotation and perform duties required.
Qualifications Required:
-
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent that is acceptable to the hospital.

General mechanical skills as required to perform Maintenance III level work.

Experience in building maintenance

Previous experience in a Healthcare setting considered an asset.

Demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships within a team to contribute to a positive work life.
