Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails;

Prepare and present proposals to prospective customers, both virtually and in-person.

Engage and host existing customers for business meetings and discussions as required.

Facilitate the sales process for new opportunities, from origination through to contract signing.

Develop effective proposal templates, presentations and marketing material for soliciting new opportunities.
-
Identify and assist in responding to Request for Proposals that align with ECE’s offerings.
-
Participate in customer contract negotiations and discussions.
-
Liaise with estimating and operations personnel to ensure that required customer/project information is obtained.

Research and gather information on new markets for expansion.
-
Assist with the organization’s online presence and social media.
-
Work to understand customer needs and requirements;
-
Work with the General Manager to ensure prospects pass the company vetting process;
-
Leverage sales automation tools to achieve maximum efficiency;
-
Track sales performance metrics and report them to the General Manager on a regular basis;
-
Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest;
-
Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory;
-
Collaborate with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals;
-
Perform effective online demos for prospects;
-
Close sales and achieve quarterly and annual targets;
-
Report on business development KPIs on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
-
Any and all other duties as assigned to meet Company objectives.

REQUIREMENTS
-
5+ years of professional experience as sales person or in similar role;
-
Experience in the Renewable Energy sector
-
Naturally competitive; metrics obsessed and have a track-record of exceeding your sales targets;

Analytical thinker and seeks to understand the root cause of problems by drawing conclusions based on data;

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills;

Previous experience working with sales technology like CRM systems and Sales automation tools;

Ability to maintain a positive attitude even under high pressure to meet quotas;

Ability to quickly pinpoint problems and come up with creative solutions to keep up momentum

Experience working on a small-to-medium sized team
WORKING CONDITIONS
-
Able to attend and conduct presentations and off-site meetings
-
Travel within & outside the GTA will occasionally be required using own vehicle
-
Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
-
Scheduling of client/business events outside of regular business hours as required
