Job Overview:
CNG Insulation & Drywall is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drywall Taper to join our team. As a Drywall Taper, you will be responsible for preparing drywall panels for painting or finishing by sealing joints, covering screws, and ensuring a smooth surface. You will work closely with our drywall installers to deliver high-quality finished walls and ceilings for both residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and clean drywall surfaces for taping and finishing.
- Apply tape and joint compound to seams, joints, and corners.
- Smooth out compound and sand the surface to ensure seamless walls.
- Inspect and repair minor drywall imperfections.
- Apply multiple layers of compound, as necessary, for a polished finish.
- Ensure surfaces are ready for painting or other finishing tasks.
- Collaborate with the drywall installation team to maintain a smooth workflow.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a drywall taper/finisher.
- Proven experience as a drywall taper/finisher.
- Knowledge of drywall taping tools and techniques.
- Ability to apply compound evenly and sand it down for a flawless finish.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Familiarity with safety standards and procedures on job sites.
- Physical stamina to work in various positions, including standing, crouching, and lifting.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in both residential and commercial projects.
- Knowledge of different drywall materials and textures.
- Ability to read blueprints and plans.

Pay: $63,462.00-$68,550.00 per year
