Executive Director
Location: Brantford/Brant, ON
Maxwell Management Group Ltd. is proud to partner with Participation Support Services in search of an Executive Director to join their team.
Lead with Purpose. Strengthen Community. Shape What Comes Next.
What if your next leadership role gave you the opportunity to make an even greater impact?
Lead in a Community Where Your Impact Can Be Seen.
Brantford is a growing, well-connected community where collaboration and relationships remain at the heart of how things get done. Situated along the Grand River and within convenient reach of Hamilton, the GTA, and Southwestern Ontario, the region combines the amenities and opportunities of a growing city with a strong sense of community. For a non-profit leader, Brantford offers something increasingly rare: the opportunity to become a recognized community partner, build meaningful relationships across sectors, and see the tangible impact of your leadership on the lives of people and families throughout the region.
Participation Support Services (PSS) is seeking an accomplished, values-driven Executive Director to lead the organization into its next chapter. This is an exceptional opportunity to build on a strong foundation while shaping the future of an organization dedicated to empowering adults with physical disabilities and complex needs to live as independently as possible.
Serving Brantford, Brant County and Norfolk County, PSS is looking for a leader who brings together strategic vision, operational strength and a genuine commitment to community. Working closely with the Board of Directors and leadership team, the Executive Director will strengthen organizational capacity, cultivate important partnerships and position PSS for continued impact and sustainability.
This is not simply a role overseeing an organization. It is an opportunity to become a trusted and visible community leader, bringing people together, advocating for those PSS serves, and building relationships that can create meaningful change.
If you are an accomplished non-profit, healthcare or community-sector leader looking for an opportunity where your experience, relationships and leadership can have a lasting local impact, this could be the opportunity that brings your experience and purpose together.
Why This Role Stands Out?
- Make a Meaningful Local Impact: Lead a mission-driven organization whose work directly supports adults with physical disabilities and complex needs to live with greater independence, dignity, and choice.
- Shape the Organization’s Next Chapter: Build on PSS’s established foundation while helping define its future direction, strengthen organizational capacity and identify opportunities for continued growth, innovation and sustainability.
- Become a Trusted Voice in the Community: Represent PSS across Brantford, Brant County and Norfolk County, developing meaningful relationships with clients and families, community leaders, healthcare organizations, funders, government and prospective donors.
- Influence the Future of Integrated Community Care: Strengthen strategic partnerships with Ontario Health, hospitals, primary care, community agencies and other system partners to advance more connected and responsive services for the people PSS supports.
- Partner with an Engaged Board: Work alongside a committed Board of Directors that values collaboration, strong governance, strategic thinking and an effective partnership with its Executive Director.
- Take on a Broad Executive Leadership Mandate: Lead across strategy, operations, finance, people and culture, labour relations, government and stakeholder relations, fundraising and organizational performance, providing the breadth and influence that experienced executives often seek in their next leadership opportunity.
- Leave a Leadership Legacy: This is an opportunity to do more than manage today’s priorities. The next Executive Director will help position PSS for the future and leave a lasting impact on the organization, its people and the communities it serves.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Social Services, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant leadership experience. A Master’s degree is considered an asset.

- Experience building collaborative partnerships with government, healthcare organizations, community agencies, and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of labour relations, human resources, policy development, and legislative requirements within the health or social services sector.
