Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Prep/Paint Helper to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will support the preparation and painting processes of our machinery components, ensuring quality standards are met while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop mechanical skills and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with surface preparation of machinery parts using hand tools and power tools to ensure proper paint adhesion.
Support the application of paint and coatings under supervision, following safety protocols and quality guidelines.
Operate equipment such as cranes and forklifts to move heavy parts safely within the shop floor.
Utilize basic math skills for measurements, mixing paints, and verifying dimensions during assembly.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow.
Assist with the inspection of parts for defects or inconsistencies before painting or assembly.
Follow safety procedures diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all tasks.
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic machining processes is advantageous.
Mechanical knowledge or experience with welding, assembly, or machining will be considered a plus.
Ability to operate forklifts or cranes is desirable; certification is a bonus but not mandatory.
Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a proactive attitude are essential for success in this role.
Shop hours are straight days Monday to Friday 7-3:30pm with the probability of frequent weekend work or OT work.

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
