Perm & Unionized Role
Between 1- 3 Months = $22.61
3-6 Months: $23.87
Hourly rate will increase at 6 months to $25.12 and With over time and double time on the weekends there is potential to make up to $31/hr or more.
3 days on, 3 days off
12 hours shifts – example: first week may work 7am-7pm for 3 days then take 3 days off then come back for 3 days 7pm – 7am
Paid overtime – lots of overtime in summer when other operators take vacation.

This is the entry level position for this plant, opportunity to move into different roles
Only 11 other employees working on the same shift in the plant at the same time so will be distanced from the others and must be okay working on their own and self-motivated
Must be able to stand, squat, bend over etc. and walk approx. 10k steps per shift
Requires High school diploma and approx. 1 year exp working on a line in manufacturing environment

This job requires self-direction, working alone or in small teams with little direct supervision. The Forming Operator will develop skills and knowledge within the Forming Operator classification. The Forming Operator will participate in formal and informal training situations related to the Forming Operator classification. The Forming Operator will perform various tasks within the classification independently to the extent of the developed skills.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Fulfill requirements of the department programs to the degree required of the Forming Operator classification.
Participate in the safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the plant.
Work in three areas within the classification and rotating on a daily basis: one day predominately in Packaging area supporting the Bushing level, a second day on the Bushing level supporting the Packaging area and a third day responsible for mixing binder, equipment & general plant cleaning.
Perform work in the packaging area consisting of: Package Setup, Final Packaging, Quality Testing/Labeling, Proper Product Identification and placement of finished material in the Warehouse.
Responsible for packaging integrity and quality checks on each packaging order.
Monitor correct product weights and ensure that they are maintained throughout the shift.
Handle startup and shut down duties pertaining to packaging equipment at the beginning and end of each shift.
Maintain quality checks and ensure proper product identification and weight.
Maintain 100% inspection of all material.
Report any problems to appropriate personnel and carry out emergency procedures.
Operate a fork lift and other related material handling machinery.
Bushing level duties include managing the operation of two Wet Chop Machines ensuring safe operation at all times.
Managing up to 10 bushings of glass fibers that feed Wet Chop Machines.
Ensure each Wet Chop machine is in good working condition and works in accordance to regulations set by the Company.
Handing down glass fibers in a timely established fashion after a positional break out.
Assist in troubleshooting positional issues related to reliability.
Perform other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by Supervision and Management.
Binder Mixing duties include mixing binder for both production lines, inventory management and troubleshooting binder related issues.
