Candidate Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team in Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining CNC machining equipment to produce high-quality precision components in a safe and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and related machining equipment
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Program and edit CNC machine controls as required
- Select appropriate tooling, -speeds, and feed rates
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments
- Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances
- Troubleshoot machining and equipment issues
- Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping
- Follow company safety procedures and Alberta OH&S regulations
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve processes and efficiency
Qualifications
- Journeyperson Machinist certification or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience
- Experience with CNC lathes and milling machines
- Proficiency with Okuma, Haas, or similar controls
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and use precision measurement tools
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Forklift or overhead crane certification considered an asset
- Strong work ethic, hands-on capability, and a great attitude
Preferred Skills
- CNC programming experience
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
