We are seeking a skilled and reliable Automatic Entrance Systems Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of automatic door systems for commercial and institutional customers. This position requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and maintain automatic door and entrance systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
- Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Ensure installations meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate with clients on-site
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately
- Work safely and follow company and industry safety procedures
Qualifications
- Experience installing or servicing automatic door systems required
- AAADM Certification is an asset
- Strong understanding of low-voltage electrical wiring
- Experience with card access systems and troubleshooting considered an asset
- Background in locksmithing or related technical trade preferred
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be able to provide a clear Criminal Record Check (or Police Information Check) upon request
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
