Overview
Maple Industrial is seeking a Millwright to support our industrial equipment installation, maintenance, fabrication, and field service projects.
This is a hands-on position involving mechanical installation, alignment, troubleshooting, maintenance, equipment removal, and modifications. Work will take place both in our fabrication shop and at customer sites throughout Ontario.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, align, and commission industrial machinery, conveyors, cranes, and custom fabricated equipment.
- Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret mechanical and fabrication drawings, equipment manuals, and layouts.
- Perform mechanical fitting, drilling, cutting, grinding, leveling, and alignment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues.
- Assist with hydraulic systems, welding, machining, equipment removals, and modifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, forklifts, and other equipment safely.
- Work with fabrication and project staff to complete equipment preparation and installation.
- Perform work at customer facilities throughout Ontario, including occasional travel and overnight stays.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Millwright apprenticeship at the 3rd year level or higher, completed a Millwright apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience in a related mechanical field.
- Previous industrial maintenance, mechanical installation, or fabrication experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
- Mechanical, hydraulic, welding, and machining experience, with basic industrial electrical knowledge.
- Experience with industrial equipment such as conveyors, cranes, gearboxes, bearings, and shafts.
- Valid forklift certification and experience operating a forklift and asset.
- Valid G Driver’s Licence required.
- Working at Heights and MEWP experience, including scissor or boom lifts, is an asset.
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and WHMIS.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Work Environment
Based in our fabrication shop in Paris, ON, with regular travel to customer facilities and project sites throughout Ontario. Work may include outdoor work, working at heights, lifting, and working around industrial equipment.
Safety training and required PPE will be provided. Employees are responsible for providing their own work boots.

$800 per year tool allowance
Overtime: Regular overtime opportunities are available; candidates must be willing to work additional hours when required.
Pay: Up to $42.00 per hour
