Class AZ Flatbed Driver – Canada-Wide
Bakke's Trucking Ltd. is currently seeking an experienced and dependable Class AZ Flatbed Driver to join our team. We are looking for a professional driver based in the North Bay area who is interested in hauling freight throughout Canada.
Position Details
· Full-time position
· Canada-wide long-haul transportation
· Flatbed freight
· Well-maintained equipment
· Supportive dispatch and management team
Requirements
· Valid Ontario Class AZ Driver's Licence
· Clean Driver's Abstract
· Minimum 2 years of AZ driving experience preferred but not required
· Flatbed experience considered an asset
· Experience securing loads and tarping freight
· Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safe driving practices
· Ability to complete electronic logs and required paperwork accurately
· Professional attitude and excellent communication skills
· Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Responsibilities
· Safely operate company equipment throughout Canada
· Secure loads using chains, straps, and other required securement devices
· Tarp loads as required to protect freight during transport
· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
· Ensure freight is delivered safely and on time
· Maintain compliance with all transportation regulations
· Keep accurate records and complete required documentation
· Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers and the public
Preferred Qualifications
· Reside in or near the North Bay, Ontario area
· Strong safety record and commitment to compliance
· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Physical Requirements
· Ability to climb on trailers safely
· Ability to lift and handle tarps, chains, and straps
· Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
