Job Overview
The Assistant Maintenance Manager assists in all aspects of the daily running of the maintenance department. They are involved in the recruiting, training and managing of staff, scheduling, producing task lists and reporting. They ensure that regular and preventative maintenance of all accommodation units operated by Whiski Jack Resorts runs as smoothly and safely as possible. In partnership with the Maintenance Manager, this role establishes safety programs and helps make Owner and Guest stays the best possible experience.
Duties
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team to execute daily maintenance tasks and long-term projects
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime
- Oversee troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and low voltage systems
- Manage the use of online tools to track unit maintenance
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations across all maintenance activities
- Perform maintenance duties such as drywall repairs, painting, small appliance repairs,
- Train and mentor maintenance staff to enhance skills in accommodation maintenance practices
Skills
- Proven management and supervisory experience in an industrial setting
- Strong project management capabilities with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of home maintenance and repairs
- Experience using software for work order management and reporting
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a safety-conscious environment
- Effective communication skills for clear documentation and team coordination
Pay: $29.00-$32.00 per hour
