What would my role be?
Reporting to the Supervisor, Family Medicine Center, you will act as the receptionist for the family medicine clinic. Your main tasks will include:
- Answer the phone and triage and direct calls appropriately.
- Greet and register patients and enter their records into the electronic medical record.
- Action requests from the clinic providers.
- Schedule patient appointments and create provider schedules.
- Enroll patients into government programs.
- Receive and sort mail, faxes and electronic communication, as well as scan documents into the electronic medical record.
- Maintain clinic supplies and support the team environment for primary care.
How do I qualify?
Required:
- Completion of a High school diploma
- Minimum of one (1) year of clerical or switchboard experience.
Preferred:
- Recent work experience as clerk/receptionist in a family medicine center.
- Fluent in French and English (Candidates who do not meet this language requirement are eligible to apply for this position and may be considered if there are no other suitable applicants who meet this requirement).
