Job Summary
At Koala Insulation of London, we are looking for a Junior Insulation Installer to join our team. Koala Insulation is an insulation contractor providing high-quality insulation services to homeowners, contractors, and property owners. To learn more, visit www.koalainsulationlondon.ca.
This position within the company is expected to consistently perform high-quality work including blown-in, spray foam, batt installations and removals in attics, walls and crawlspaces. You will work closely with a more senior installer. Your performance will depend on your entire team’s quality, safety, and efficiency. Therefore, it will be important for you to help other members of your crew perform at a high level.
Direct insulation experience is not required for the role but is preferred. Any experience working in attics, confined spaces or at heights is highly valued.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Safety: Adheres to jobsite safety in accordance with all federal, provincial, and local occupational and health and safety laws. Has working knowledge of all types of insulation installation (blown-in, spray foam, and batts) and consistently performs quality checks.
- Operations: Ensures that enough supplies are on hand. Removes and installs insulation based on specifications of each job. Ensures all guidelines are followed with equipment set up and operation. Completes each job with the highest quality while maintaining efficiency.
- Technical: Ensures insulation rigs and equipment are properly maintained and in good working order. Ability to operate, maintain, and diagnose issues with equipment.
- Customer Service: Communicates professionally with the customer and completes paperwork. Ensures the jobsite is thoroughly cleaned upon completing the job.
- Other: Continuous improvement of customer service, quality, efficiency, and safety. Communicates issues to management. Performs other related duties as required.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma / GED is required.
- Experience as an insulation installer preferred (especially blown-in and spray foam insulation).
- Experience working with respirators / face masks preferred.
- Experience working in attics and confined spaces preferred.
- Experience working in both new construction and retrofit applications preferred.
- Experience driving Commercial vehicles preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of walking, standing, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and crawling.
- Working environment may be subject to high temperatures, confined spaces, dust/dirt, hazardous chemicals, and heights.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds frequently.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
