Lynn Lake Project
The Lynn Lake Gold Project, located in northern Manitoba, is one of the highest-grade open pit gold deposits in Canada. The project consists of the MacLellan and Gordon sites, located just east of the Town of Lynn Lake. With strong infrastructure already in place, the project represents a significant opportunity to support future growth in Canada.
This role supports a Canadian site-based construction project focused on delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality infrastructure to support ongoing mining operations. The environment is fast-paced, safety-driven, and highly collaborative.
Procurement Contracts Specialist
The Procurement Contract Specialist is responsible for the administration, formation, and negotiation of procurement contracts for the Lynn Lake Gold Project. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role encompasses pre-award and post-award contract activities, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, legal requirements, and project objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate timely delivery of procurement contracts in collaboration with the corporate legal team and project stakeholders
- Administer, coordinate, and process purchasing instruments (contracts, purchase orders, amendments, change orders.) ensuring consistency and compliance with company policies, contractual terms, and applicable legislation
- Contract Development and Negotiation:
- Lead the creation of contracting strategies, including preparation and execution of RFx/Tender processes
- Oversee pre-award reviews, finalize post-award contracts, manage amendments, and oversee the closure of contracts
- Negotiate contract terms and renewals in collaboration with project teams and stakeholders
- Strategic Sourcing and Tendering:
- Manage the end-to-end RFP process, including vendor selection, bid evaluation, negotiation, and adjudication
- Stay informed about global market trends and their potential impact on procurement strategies for goods and services
- Cost Optimization:
- Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities to achieve organizational and site-specific cost reduction targets
- Contract Management and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive contract documentation throughout the contract lifecycle
- Monitor and ensure compliance with corporate sourcing strategies, procurement policies, and contractual obligations
- Vendor and Stakeholder Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and third-party service providers to meet project requirements and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to address and resolve contract-related issues
- Continuous Improvement:
- Support the ongoing development and implementation of best practices in sourcing strategies, contract management processes, and procurement policies
- Identify areas for improvement in contract formation and administration to enhance efficiency and compliance
- Other Responsibilities:
- Maintain confidentiality of all corporate information and data.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support organizational objectives
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements :
Education and Certification:
- A post Secondary degree in a related field or a minimum of 5 years contract formation, execution and management
- Professional designation or certification in procurement, contract management, or a related area (asset)
Experience:
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in procurement and managing large tender processes, preferably in the mining or project-based sectors
- Technical knowledge of contract law, claims and holdback processes
Skills:
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and team commitment
- Demonstrated technical knowledge in civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering and/or construction (asset)
- Proficiency in SAP S4 Hana (asset)
- Bilingual in French and English (asset)

Salary Range: CAD $98,600 to $147,900
The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience and internal equity.
