Applicants require the following qualifications:
- Two (2) or three (3) year diploma from a recognized Community College in an area related to Special Education or a Bachelor of Arts degree.
- Ability to work with all children including a wide variety of students with special needs.
- Support the Gospel values and philosophy of Inclusion
- Three (3) to Six (6) months previous related experience and/or job placement.
Preferred but not required qualifications include:
- UMAB and/or CPI and/or NVCI qualification
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Behaviour Management Systems (BMS) Training
- Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Training
- Assistive Technology Software
- Augmentative Communication
- Safe Back Care or Lifting Ambulation
