Soil Engineers Ltd. is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Material Testing & Inspection to join our Mississauga branch office.
Job description:
The responsibilities of this position include:
Good knowledge of construction practice and methodology in the geotechnical material testing and inspection field;
1. Able to perform field inspection /testing; Various aspects of field work, such as Inspection, Compaction and Concrete;
2. Attend site meetings, liaise with parties involved in the project;
3. Troubleshooter – good foresight to avoid problem
4. Prepare proposal;
5. Implement Budget Control;
6. Prepare all necessary letters, reports and review report by technicians;
7. Manage different projects simultaneously;
8. Able to multitask;
9. Assist in the training of field staff.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, P.Eng or C.E.T. designation;
· Minimum 5 years as a project manager in the geotechnical material testing & inspection field;
· Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills;
· Ability to train, lead junior staff/engineers and technicians;
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and AUTOCAD etc.;
· Valid driver's license;
· Good personal skills.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Fieldwork is an integral component of this position; the candidate must have access to a reliable vehicle for work and is willing to travel to various job sites. Mileage will be reimbursed.
