Job Summary
Busy Aviation Parts Re-Work Machine Shop seeking a Jr. Shop Technician. Excellent entry level position in a bright clean environment. This is a fantastic position for a young motivated individual looking to start a career in the manufacturing or re-work field learning a trade from "the bottom up". We are happy to train and advance to apprentice-ship if there is interest.
Responsibilities and Duties
You will be working under the supervision of our Sr. Shop Technician and Production Manager. Primary areas of responsibility are as follow:
- Perform Shipping and Receiving Inspection and procedures
- Cleaning, blasting and preparing received parts in preparation for machining according to customer and/or product specifications.
- Report any quality, production or safety problems to Supervisor or Management as required
- De-burr and prepare parts for final inspection.
- Essential to have hand skills using various shop equipment, excellent communication skills, positive attitude and open engagement with all members and Management.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work.
- Inventory management with direction from Office Management
- Following established safety rules.
Qualifications and Skills
Post Secondary Education
Fork Lift operator license an asset
