The Marketing Associate is responsible for all marketing related aspects of Lafarge’s ready-mix products and services. The Associate will lead and coordinate industry promotion efforts as well as marketing resources needed to promote Lafarge brand and product range through appropriate channels using creative and innovative methods.

Conduct market information research pertaining to economic, customer, and competitive activities by employing marketing analytics techniques and analyzing data to identify marketing opportunities for Lafarge products and services development, pricing and positioning.
Support VP with adhoc market intelligence in support of yearly budgeting and MTP
The Associate will develop and lead the deployment of the marketing plan for Eastern Canada RMX. Assisting in the organization of promotional events, preparing promotional presentations, creating marketing collateral, participating and contributing to product development committee are some of the important responsibilities of this position in order to grow Lafarge Canada brand. Collaboration with Product Development Manager to develop innovative ways of gaining exposure to enhance and grow opportunities for the company and improve the overall customer experience.
Working with the ECAN and NA marketing teams to provide marketing communications support
Web site updates
Collateral for ECOPact and branded products
Specific issue related communications (eg sustainability, safety)
Produce case studies
Support senior management team in the development of customer facing presentations
Supports the ECAN senior team in the preparation of marketing plans including specific market specific plans
Relationship with Others
Reporting and be resourceful to the Commercial Performance & Marketing Manager of Eastern Canada, the incumbent will also work in collaboration with the Product Development Manager and Sales Manager across Eastern Canada RMX. The candidate will also maintain relationship with Communication Department, the Group Marketing Performance, Product development steering committee and external key stakeholders.
In this position, the Associate will be responsible to help achieve targeted KPI’s and Business metrics, such as percentage of sales growth of specialty products, value added product and service net sales and launch new product range, such as our new sustainable product range with ECOPact.
Understanding internal and external customer satisfaction and needs will be key to help develop, standardize and implement marketing plans for ECAN sales.
The Marketing Associate, in concert with Product Development Manager, will contribute in leading the growth and performance of Lafarge Canada RMX Eastern Canada brand, net sales of standard product, value added product & services.
The Marketing Associate will possess a Post-Secondary degree in Marketing or other related work experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years in marketing required with proven marketing projects record of accomplishment.
Exquisite oral and written communication skills
Bilingual French and English a strong asset.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office, marketing computer software and online applications (Salesforce, online data analytics, Design software, etc.)
Experience in Construction Material, specification and positioning knowhow within the Architect and Engineer community a strong asset.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to manage multiple and changing priorities effectively.
Available to travel within Eastern Canada for 5-10%
