Community Outreach Specialist
Dartmouth, NS
Supports Pharmacy Strategy Team in identified areas providing clinical tasks for key providers. Provides clinical nursing leadership, education and client care in identified therapeutic areas.

Supports assigned high value accounts to ensure successful prescription sales to ACS Pharmacy
Provides clinical leadership and support for Hepatitis C initiatives, NASH/NAFLD and other identified therapeutic areas
Leadership role in booking, managing and providing Fibroscan clinics for key stakeholders (Fibroscan training and certification provided)
Applies clinical expertise, nursing judgement and established medical criteria to provide case management insights to key stakeholders in relation to specific clinical programs
Other Community Outreach Specialist related tasks as assigned by the Manager, Strategic Accounts and Manager, Strategic Relationships
Registered Nurse, with a valid certificate of registration from the Nova Scotia licensing body
3 or more years of nursing experience (preferably as a Hepatology Nurse)
Strong decision-making skills
Previous experience with project and case management
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Strong customer service orientation
Prior experience working with patients, health care providers and other stakeholders
Excellent organizational skills with good attention to detail
Prior experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
Prior experience in using Microsoft Office Products and Web based applications
Has the use of an insured motor vehicle for work-related travel and a valid driver’s license
Three (3) years of related experience
Bilingual (French/English) preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of medical criteria
Effective organization, coordination, and communication skills.
Professional and personal effectiveness in establishing relationships with clients, customers, peers, and staff
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to coordinate client care
Computer literacy
Reports to Manager, Provider Solutions, Specialty Pharmacy Services
