Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ABA Therapist to join our clinical team. This role involves working closely with children and their families to develop and implement effective behavioral strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience in behaviour management, skill acquisition, and data collection, particularly within educational and home settings. The ABA Therapist will play a vital role in supporting children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education services, by applying evidence-based interventions to promote positive behavioral outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement individualized behavioral therapy plans tailored to each child's needs
- Work directly with children to improve social, emotional, and behavioral skills through engaging activities
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency in therapy approaches
- Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly
- Maintain detailed documentation of sessions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards
- Assist in case management tasks such as scheduling appointments and coordinating care services
- Utilize knowledge of behavioural terminology and research findings to inform therapy strategies
- Support children in educational settings by integrating behavioral techniques into classroom routines when appropriate
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children, preferably in educational or home settings
- Knowledge of research methods related to behavioral health and client care practices
- Familiarity with pediatrics, special education, and patient case management
- Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and healthcare professionals
- Understanding of behavioural terminology relevant to Applied Behavioural Analysis principles
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's developmental needs
- Relevant certifications or licensure as required by state regulations are preferred but not mandatory
