Position Summary
· The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for promoting a portfolio of wholesale products aligned with Imperial’s strategic plan to a diverse group of pharmacies throughout a defined territory.
· Develop and establish strong relationships with pharmacy owners and pharmacists in retail pharmacy accounts.
· Build and maintain effective customer relationships by providing products, services and expertise which enable the pharmacies to succeed.
· Achieving sales and business objectives within the designated territory.
· Demonstrate customer focus, business acumen, adequate planning, drive for results and excellence in time management and adaptability in a complex business environment that is constantly being shaped by competitive activities, government legislation and technological developments.
Areas of Responsibilities
- Develops, implements and updates territory business plan to drive sales results
- Regularly informs on activities, market trends and territory issues
- Analyzes sales data to determine progress and identify areas of opportunity
- Independently manage the territory to ensure reach and frequency of targets are being met on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
- Meet and exceed sales targets objectives
- Build trust and credibility and become a collaborator with the accounts
- Organizes and conducts website training when required.
- Follow-up to ensure resolution

- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong business acumen, analytical, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to develop new relationships and maintain existing relationships in a busy environment
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Proficient in excel
Education and Experience
- Completion of undergraduate university degree or equivalent combination of education and sales experience of 5+ years
- Sales experience in Pharmaceutical distribution, retail operations or retail sales is an asset
- Self-motivated, driven with a competitive spirit, and a track record of achievements
- Some overnight travel will be required
- Valid Driver's License and access to vehicle for territory coverage
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
