Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operation. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and proficiency with hand tools and power tools. The Mechanic will play a vital part in minimizing downtime and supporting the overall efficiency of our operations.
Duties
- Diagnose mechanical issues on equipment and machinery using appropriate tools and techniques
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to keep machinery operating smoothly
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment components
- Inspect machinery for potential problems and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment during all repair activities
- Assist in installing new equipment or upgrading existing systems as needed
Experience
- Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar maintenance role preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Experience working with power tools including drills, grinders, and saws
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently and accurately
- Prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: From $26.00 per hour
