Job Overview
Staff Shop is seeking reliable, professional, and guest-focused individuals to join our team for upcoming events in Toronto and the GTA! This is an excellent opportunity to be part of exciting sports and entertainment events while gaining valuable experience in the hospitality and events industry.
Event staff will be assigned to roles as Gate Staff or Ushers:
- Gate Staff: Use handheld scanners to scan tickets as guests enter the venue.
- Ushers: Monitor assigned sections, check tickets, and assist guests to ensure safety and an enjoyable experience.
- Some experienced staff may rotate between Gate and Usher duties.
Requirements
- Previous event, customer service, or security experience is an asset but not required.
- Must be professional, punctual, and guest-focused.
- Must comply with uniform policy:
- Black dress shirt or black polo shirt
- Black pants (no shorts, leggings, or ripped pants)
- Black shoes
- Bring your own water bottle.
- No bags, backpacks, or purses are permitted while working (lockers available on-site if you bring a lock).
- Must be comfortable standing and engaging with guests for extended periods.
- MUST be Smart Serve Certified.
Compensation
- $18/hour
- Paid via payroll (T4 employment)
