This role is responsible for day-to-day information/data management and operational activities to support the Market Insights team and its mandate, with a primary focus on the organization and maintenance of competitive and marketplace information.
The mandate of this role is to ensure the availability and accessibility of highly accurate and reliable information that drives efficiencies for the team as well as enables storytelling through insights that delivers value to our customers in Individual Customer and Advisory Network.
News Monitoring/Dissemination: Proactive identification of relevant competitor and market announcements from advisor/industry sites and other third-party information sources; manage and own the execution of the weekly newsletter with inputs from the team; participate in some report summary writing activities, as appropriate;
Quantitative Information Management: Produce competitor rates comparisons, maintain product feature comparison tables; update master market share data files, including monthly industry performance reports and other research data sets;
Database Management: Maintain the insights repository and team file systems; organize, post/file content appropriately, ensuring ease of use of the file structure and allows for self-serve capabilities;
Request Intake Management: Manage intake/tracking of requests received through the team mailbox, including requests from information exchange groups, wholesalers and internal business partners; oversee the completion of third-party vendor surveys requests;
Team Support: Serve as a back-up to team members, as needed, to support and engage business partners.
Qualifications and Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience;
Highly organized and has an appreciation for high-valued detailed-oriented and process-driven responsibilities;
Experience with or has the technical aptitude to learn and use third party software and intelligence tools;
Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize a diverse workload;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability and desire to develop an aptitude for analytics and business acumen;
Ability to effectively manage and adapt to change;
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word;
Experience in financial services, specifically life insurance and/or wealth management preferred.
