Your Days Will Include:
- Coordinating yard traffic for all livestock deliveries, ensuring efficient flow and minimizing delays.
- Tracking and updating all hog flow movements using an in-house software program to maintain accurate records.
- Monitoring and recording driver start and end times daily.
- Communicating imperative delays to customers promptly
- Planning and tracking trailer washes and scheduling preventive maintenance
- On-call and other duties as assigned
To Succeed in This Role, You Must Possess:
- Grade 12 diploma; a college diploma or certificate in Logistics & Transportation is an asset.
- At least 2 years of experience in the hog industry and 5 years in transportation.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to optimize processes.
- High proficiency in the MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel and other data-tracking tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Class 1 License and animal handling experience are considered assets.
