Reporting to the Plumbing Supervisor, the Journeyperson Plumber plays a key role at EASTCUT. Working onsite at our manufacturing facility each day, you will install and rough in plumbing systems, fixtures, and piping for new residential and commercial building projects. You will ensure all work meets applicable building codes, quality standards, and integrates seamlessly with other building systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install plumbing fixtures, drainage, waterlines, and venting in new builds
- Follow safety procedures, identifying, and mitigating safety hazards
- Read and understand blueprints and plumbing drawings specifications
- Track changes in the drawings and provide the Asbuilt drawings to the supervisor
- Passion for safety and working as part of a team of people
- Ability to think outside the box and solve problems as they arise
- Reliable and punctual employee
- Oversee plumbing apprentices as per the NS Apprenticeship Agency's ratio of a maximum 3:1
REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years of experience in commercial and/or residential plumbing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Journeyperson / Red Seal Certification
Rate of Pay
Rate of pay dependent on experience. Medical and dental benefits, RRSP matching, paid volunteer time, and 4% vacation pay each pay.
