Position Summary
The IT Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support and managing IT systems across the Company. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing network security, and implementing solutions to improve IT efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the information technology system of Your Wayfinders including computer systems, corporate data and internal networks.
- Update and upgrade hardware and software used by project managers and team.
- Troubleshoot and provide technical support to staff.
- Staying within budget and allocating cost for necessary updates and upgrades.
- Implement security protocols to protect systems from threats, including managing firewalls, antivirus software, and data backups.
- Educate and support employees on technology use, software applications, and security best practices.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets, manage software licensing, and ensure up-to-date records for compliance.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience in I.T field.
- Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience with Project Management software required.
- Strong ability to prioritize and manage time.
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities.
- Proficient computer skills and competency with Microsoft 365 Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Project), and Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of Smartsheet, Power BI, Canva and other software an asset.
