Be the calm after the storm! As a Cleaner/Packer at On Side Restoration, you’ll play a vital role in helping families and businesses recover after disaster strikes. From carefully packing and cleaning belongings and spaces to supporting other restoration crews, you’ll bring care, precision, and positivity to every job. Compensation
- Salary Range: $22-$27/hour
- On-call premium paid for rotating coverage

What You’ll Do
- Pack, catalog, and clean contents from disaster-affected areas
- Perform pre/post-construction and structural cleaning
- Clean fabrics, textiles, and various surfaces
- Use Encircle Restoration Software for inventory
- Cross training in demolition and water emergencies
What You Bring
- 1+ years of experience in cleaning and/or moving
- Restoration experience is a strong asset
- Strong empathy and a customer‑focused mindset
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Physically fit, capable of heavy lifting and safety-conscious
- Tech-savvy (comfortable using apps/software)
- Valid driver’s license and clean abstract
- Willingness to work out of town as required
- Clear criminal record
- English proficiency, written and spoken

Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement. Meaning you’ll work regular weekday hours and participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.

Application question(s):
- Cross training is required for this role. Successful candidates will be trained in Demolition, Water Damage, Remediation and Rebuild. Are you able and willing to train and work in other roles?
- Restoration work requires documentation and tracking throughout your workday. Do you have basic computer and/or tablet/iPad experience? Are you comfortable operating a phone to navigate through applications and record info as instructed?
- Restoration work can be dirty. Flooded basements and sewer backups are the norm. Are you able and willing to work in these conditions?
- Are you fluent reading / writing/ speaking English? If no, please rank your skills out of 10 (1 is basic, 10 is fluent)
- Are you able to work a rotating on call schedule, responding to emergency calls after regular hours? This on call work is in addition to your scheduled daytime hours, and premium pay as well as overtime will be provided.
- Are you comfortable driving a large cube van/fleet vehicle around the city and parking in residential streets? If you are not experienced, are you willing to learn? Please explain:
- If you do not have prior experience as a Contents Technician, describe the skills and work experience you’ve gained elsewhere that would help you succeed in this position
- This job requires physical fitness, including lifting 50 lbs, climbing stairs, and performing repetitive heavy lifting such as moving furniture and boxes. Please explain your physical capability to meet these requirements.

Experience:
- Residential Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
- Construction: 1 year (preferred)
