Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and coffee. This role requires a passion for the food industry, strong time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Barista will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages using standard recipes and techniques
- Operate POS systems for order processing and cash handling
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling food items, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring quality presentation
- Manage cash register operations, including cashiering and basic math calculations for transactions
- Maintain cleanliness of work area, equipment, and dining space in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
- Follow food safety procedures during food handling and serving to ensure customer safety
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Barista is required
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Knowledge of POS systems
- Ability to perform food preparation and handling safely according to health standards
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Experience with serving, cashiering, and food safety protocols is desirable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
