Our local white glove furniture delivery company is seeking customer-based, motivated individuals for the positions of Team Lead/Driver and/or Swamper/Delivery Assistant. About the Role
We specialize in the delivery, unpacking, assembly, and placement of luxury furniture for our customers. Our team prides itself on attention to detail, expertise in handling delicate and heavy items, and providing a seamless experience from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
· Safely deliver, lift, and move furniture weighing 75-100 lbs, both independently and as part of a team.
· Unpack, assemble, and place furniture according to client specifications, ensuring utmost care for high-value items.
· Conduct pre-delivery inspections and verify inventory accuracy.
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment, indoors and outdoors, regardless of weather conditions.
· Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, addressing concerns and confirming satisfaction.
· Troubleshoot unexpected issues on the job, solving problems efficiently and calmly.
· Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
· For Team Leads/Driver: Supervise and motivate the delivery team, delegate tasks, and ensure quality standards are met.
Required Qualifications
· Previous experience in delivery, moving, and furniture installation (including unpacking, assembling, and placement).
· Physical fitness, with the proven ability to lift and maneuver heavy furniture safely.
· Meticulous attention to detail, especially when handling premium items.
· Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow directions for safety and efficiency.
· Professional appearance and courteous manner, with the ability to adapt to a variety of customer interactions.
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required for driving roles).
. Experience driving cube van (including winter driving).
· Ability to pass a criminal record check.
· Demonstrated problem-solving ability, positive attitude, and solid work ethic.
· Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
Work Schedule & Environment
· Full-time position: Monday to Friday, generally 8:00AM to 5:00PM but start and end times may vary.
· Occasional weekend work may be available.
