Why is this role important?
The Corporate Social Responsibility/Government Relations Intern will be an important part of the Loblaw CSR/GR team and play a central role in implementing important programs and reports. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Corporate Social Responsibility, the role will work closely with the business and external stakeholders as well.
Support the drafting and publishing of external reports (Carbon Disclosure, Corporate Social Responsibility Report)
Work with the business to promote CSR initiatives both internally and externally.
Conduct research and analysis of leading CSR trends and initiatives.
Support internal CSR working groups to develop new, leading targets and objectives.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on Loblaw’s CSR efforts.
Support the Loblaw Government Relations team in their advocacy efforts across Canada
Currently studying at post-secondary level (ex: Sustainability, Public Policy, Business)
Knowledge of environmental, social and governance issues
Excellent research and analytics skills
Bilingual (able to write and speak English & French) is considered a strong asset
Experience in project management considered an asset
