On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an Analyst, Derivatives Confirmations for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Bedford, Nova Scotia office.
Analyst, Derivatives Confirmations - Job Description:
The Analyst, Derivatives Confirmations will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating OTC derivative confirmations. The role involves ensuring compliance with jurisdictional regulations and supporting process improvements and new business initiatives.
Analyst, Derivatives Confirmations - Responsibilities:
- Draft and review ISDA confirmations for OTC derivative transactions
- Escalate processing issues to the Team Manager
- Assist with projects, process improvements, and new business initiatives
- Ensure documentation compliance with regulations and market practices
- Follow up on outstanding confirmations
- Act as an information conduit between global teams
- Participate in cost reduction and efficiency projects
- Assist in adapting to evolving regulatory requirements
- Track and address self-identified gaps and audit comments
- Support colleagues during busy periods
Analyst, Derivatives Confirmations - Mandatory Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Sophis, Actiflow, Nemo, Python, VBA
- Experience with OTC derivative confirmations
- Knowledge of equity derivative products
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Client-service orientation
Analyst, Derivatives Confirmations – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- CFA or relevant financial certification
- Experience with Sophis, Actiflow, or Nemo
- Python/VBA skills for automation
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks like Dodd-Frank, EMIR
- Cross-asset class confirmations experience
Analyst, Derivatives Confirmations – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position.
