M.I. Cable Technologies Inc. manufactures mineral insulated cable in Calgary. We’re hiring a highly experienced Plant Maintenance Millwright to support production by reducing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and keeping our facility running safely and efficiently.
This is a senior level role responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting all mechanical systems across the production plant. The successful candidate must be capable of independently diagnosing and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment to keep production running with minimal downtime.
This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must have extensive hands on industrial maintenance experience and be fully competent working independently in a production environment.

What you’ll do
- Independently troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and restore equipment to safe and reliable operation.
- Maintain, repair, install, and align a wide variety of industrial plant equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability.
- Diagnose and repair pumps, pneumatic systems, mechanical drive systems, and production equipment.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Perform equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, overhead cranes, and manlifts.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Support overall plant reliability and continuous production operations.
What we’re looking for
- Journeyperson Millwright certification strongly preferred.
- Candidates without formal millwright certification will be considered only if they have 10 + years of directly relevant industrial plant maintenance experience.
- Minimum 5 years industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment required.
- Must be capable of independently diagnosing and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting ability and mechanical problem solving skills.
- Reliable attendance, professionalism, and strong work ethic.
- Comfortable using computers for documentation and maintenance tracking.
Apprentices, students, or candidates currently completing certification will not be considered
