Position Summary:
The Director, Human Resources will lead and develop a team of both Talent Acquisition and Business Partner professionals. This position will be accountable for creating the conditions for CareRx to attract and retain customer focused employees, foster a supportive and engaged work environment, collaborate with senior leaders on developing a performance driven culture, lead strategic projects related to the People and Culture area, and ensure all policies, programs and systems are in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Talent Acquisition:
- Coach and develop a team of experienced Talent Acquisition professionals in their collaboration with leaders to understand and recruit for current and future staffing needs.
- Develop and implement innovative talent acquisition strategies tailored to CareRx in order to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
- Continuously improve the processes throughout the Talent Acquisition cycle, including employer branding, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring.
- Report out actionable insights related to Talent Acquisition and utilize the data to make improvements in the process.
- Business Partnering:
- Coach and develop a team of HR Business Partners to effectively support CareRx leaders and employees.
- Provide balanced guidance to leaders and the HRBP team on employee relations, performance management, organizational design and succession planning to create an environment of engagement.
- Strategic Talent Management:
- Partner with senior leaders to develop and implement programs that support the CareRx strategic plan.
- Analyze workforce data and metrics to inform strategic decisions and proactively identify talent trends.
- Lead the annual Employee Engagement Survey process including communication and action planning.
- Lead the Employee OnBoarding process – design and develop a revised program based on business imperatives
- Lead all Employee Recognition programs and assess future programs for fit with culture.
- Lead wellness program development and communication to the organization.
- Compliance:
- Lead all health and safety initiatives and through the HRBPs, ensure all locations are in compliance with provincial requirements.
- Best Practices:
- Keeps up to date on trends, best practices, and new technologies across the People and Culture space; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to People and Culture team and senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive human resource management roles, with experience leading managers and multi-vertical teams required.
- Partnering with leaders on organizational and job re-design.
- Launching and communicating new programs and initiatives and building change mgt and communication cascades to support.
- Designing and implementing talent pool reviews and succession planning processes.
- Facilitating large group meetings and education sessions.
- Manufacturing experience or an understanding of LEAN principles would be preferred.
- Skills:
- Proven ability to coach and develop multiple teams – able to role model desired performance management behaviors and hold teams accountable to business results.
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral/written communication, and persuasion skills.
- Ability to de-escalate difficult situations and find positive solutions.
- Ability to lead and influence across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects and initiatives while managing the day-to-day aspects of the team.
- Ability to use data to create actionable insights and implement improvements.
- Ability to partner with leaders and employees across all verticals of the People and Culture team.
- Certifications: CHRL preferred.
Work Environment:
- This role is required to be present in our Toronto office 1-2 days each week with occasional travel to our pharmacies as required
