Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Ikea Cabinet Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately installing kitchen and furniture cabinets, ensuring proper fit, finish, and safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of construction and carpentry principles, along with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in residential and commercial settings, contributing to high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation instructions to ensure precise cabinet placement.
- Measure spaces accurately to determine optimal cabinet fit and layout.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for cabinet assembly and installation.
- Secure cabinets to walls using appropriate fasteners, ensuring stability and safety.
- Perform related tasks such as leveling, caulking, sealing, and finishing touches for a professional appearance.
- Assist with related construction activities such as framing, drywall, or flooring as needed.
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all safety protocols are followed during installation.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and team members to complete projects on time and to specifications.
Skills
- Proven experience in cabinet installation or related carpentry work.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment.
- Familiarity with construction painting, masonry, flooring installation, tile laying, rebar installation, roofing, siding, plumbing, electrical work, and restoration is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
- Construction experience across various trades such as woodworking, masonry, or general contracting is desirable.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes is advantageous but not required.
