Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Responsible to assist the Banquet Manager in all food & beverage production in the Banquet Department. Under the guidance of the Banquet Manager oversees staff training and supervises all Banquet service staff. Assures that the wants and needs of all club guests are consistently met and exceeded. In the absence of the Banquet Manager, the Banquet Captain is responsible for the operation of the Banquet Department.
II. Job Tasks (Additional Responsibilities)
1. Assists with scheduling personnel and planning based upon banquet contracts and client needs.
2. Monitors and motivates employees to F & B Standards.
3. Inspects to ensure that all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventative maintenance and other standards are constantly met.
4. Assures that all standards, operating procedures for sales and cost control are in place and constantly utilized.
5. Informs as to product development from customer requests. Recommends changes in operations to benefit Northview
6. Ensures follow through on Serving it Right and food safe procedures.
7. Handles personnel issues as they arise. Promotes teambuilding through strong leadership, evokes pride of work.
8. Monitors the ordering and receiving of bars and supplies to ensure proper par stocks and inventories for functions.
9. Liaises with Catering department as to set up and client needs for that day and subsequent days set up.
10. Sets up banquet rooms according to floor plans for the next functions in all areas needed.
11. Oversees the Banquet bar operation and closing inventories. Ensures banquet liquor consumption reports are filled out.
12. Fills out Sales and Catering Report Form. Ensuring guest comment and signature received.
13. Ensures cleanliness of all banquet areas including patios, wedding garden and foyer.
14. Helps monitor daily opening and closing procedures for cash outs.
15. Liaises with kitchen for timing of food.
16. Liaises with Bartenders for supply of alcoholic beverages.
17. Leads shifts and actively participates in the servicing of events.
18. Ensures clubhouse is properly locked down at the end of the night
19. All other duties as required
