We currently have an opening for a cake and cookie decorator at our family-run bakery in St. Albert. This position is approximately 32 hour/week, with shifts starting at 8:00 am, Tuesday through Friday. We will also consider hiring two people to share the position if there is enough interest. Please indicate if you'd prefer to be considered for only 16 hours per week as either a cake or a cookie decorator.
Decorating cakes involves cutting, filling, icing and packaging of our regular selection of cakes and cupcakes. Experience with buttercream is required. Ability to work with fondant or do line drawings on cake is an asset, but not required. Decorating cookies involves coloring and using royal icing to decorate sugar cookies for store sales and custom orders. Other duties for decorators include planning orders with customers, as well as cleaning the work area and washing dishes, plus other duties as required.
